eGovPH is the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) app for government services. Once verified, it holds your digital National ID and other agency IDs, lets you pay some government fees, and links to services such as eTravel and clearance appointments.

Which situation applies to you?

How to set up and verify your account

  1. Install the official app

Search “eGovPH” in Google Play, the App Store or Huawei AppGallery, or use the links on the National ID website. Check that the publisher is the government before installing.

  2. Register with your mobile number

Enter the one-time PIN sent by text, create a 6-digit MPIN, and confirm your email.

  3. Start verification

In your profile, choose to verify your account. Enter your details exactly as in your PhilSys record, including middle name and suffix, and your National ID card number, or scan the QR code on your ID.

  4. Do the face check

Follow the prompts in a bright room, facing the light, without glasses, mask or cap.

  5. Wait for confirmation

It often arrives within hours and can take up to a day. Once verified, your IDs and services appear.

Digital IDs you can open in eGovPH

Which IDs appear depends on the agency’s rollout and your own records. These have been announced for the app:

Digital TIN IDBIR, since April 24, 2026TIN ID
Digital National Senior Citizens IDNCSCSenior Citizen ID
OWWA e-Card and OFW PassOWWA and DMWOFW ID

The app must be online to verify you, but open your ID wallet at least once while connected so it loads faster later. Offices verify digital IDs by scanning the QR code shown inside the app; a screenshot or printout may be refused.

Other things you can do

  • Pay government fees through eGovPay, with online banking, e-wallets or over-the-counter channels.
  • Fill in eTravel for arrivals and departures.
  • Reach agency services such as clearance appointments and PSA document requests; many open the agency’s own website.
  • Track transactions: receipts and updates go to your number, email and the app’s History section, which can take up to 24 hours to update.

Example: A 60-year-old setting up eGovPH with family

Let’s say your mother registered for the National ID in 2022 but never received the card. On her own phone and number, register, then verify using the details on her transaction slip or paper National ID, and do the face check near a window. Once verified, her digital National ID and, when it appears, her digital senior citizen ID are both on her phone. Do not verify her on your phone: one number can be verified per PhilSys Number.

Details do not matchType your name exactly as in your PhilSys record. If PSA has it wrong, have it corrected at a PSA office first

New number, new phone or lost phone

  • New number: only one number can be verified per PhilSys Number. Delete the account, register the new number and verify again.
  • New phone, same number: log in on the new phone; a one-time PIN confirms the device.
  • Lost or stolen phone: have your network block the SIM, and delete the account as soon as you can to prevent misuse. Deleting asks for a face check and a one-time PIN.

Stay safe

  • Install only the official app from the official stores. Fake apps and pages copy the eGovPH name.
  • Never share your MPIN or one-time PINs, and never let anyone do the face check for you or “verify” your account for a fee.
  • Do not post screenshots of your digital IDs online. More on IDs offices accept: the list of valid IDs.

Frequently asked questions

Is the eGovPH app free?

Yes. Downloading, registering and viewing your digital IDs cost nothing. Some government services you pay for inside the app, through eGovPay, carry the agency’s own fee and sometimes a processing fee.

Do I need a National ID to use eGovPH?

To unlock its services and digital IDs, yes. Verification links your account to your PhilSys Number, so you must be registered for the National ID first; you do not need the physical card. Without verification, the app shows only general information.

Are the digital IDs in eGovPH valid?

The digital National ID has the same validity as the physical card, and BSP requires banks to accept it. Agencies have said the same of their own IDs in the app, such as the digital senior citizen ID (NCSC) and the Digital TIN ID (BIR). Physical IDs remain valid too; some offices still ask for them.

Can I use eGovPH abroad?

Yes. OFWs can install and use it overseas, but you still need to verify your account against your PhilSys record.

I changed my mobile number. What do I do?

Only one mobile number can be verified per PhilSys Number. DICT’s FAQ says to delete your account, register the new number, and verify again.

My phone was lost or stolen. What should I do?

Delete your eGovPH account as soon as you can from another device, or ask your network to block the SIM, to prevent identity theft. Then register again on your new phone.
